1.1 billion people on the planet do not have access to safe clean water. Water? This is the kind of thing we’ve been taking for granted. How many times a day we let the water run longer than it needs to be? Assuming two minutes of brushing your teeth twice a day, you are wasting at least a gallon (possibly two) of clean water. Access to clean water can be a difference between life and death to a lot of people in other parts of the world.orld.

Charity Water, a non-profit organization started in 2006 in New York, plans to bring clean and safe drinking water into impoverished communities around the world. In less than 2 years, they have funded more than 600 projects in 11 countries that will provide 250,000 people with clean water. Jennifer Connelly, an Oscar-winning artist, has teamed up with Charity Water to raise awareness. There are multiple projects are in progress around the world and you can see it with Google Earth.

Your $20 donation will give one person safe drinking water for 20 years. 100% of your donation will go directly to fund clean water projects in Africa, India and Central America that includes the construction and maintenance of freshwater projects, the drill rig, cement for the casing of wells and community training programs.
