I learned from John Chow on how to hide affiliate links with php redirection. I even moved all my affiliate links to a sub folder just like he did. We know how much people hate clicking on your affiliate link even when they are interested in the product. They will just find a way to remove your affiliate id. The problem is the php redirection to hide an affiliate link is pretty common nowadays. People can tell just by looking at the URL.

I am not sure whether it has been done before but I just want to say it on the record I thought of it myself. I am sure I am not the first to do it.

Let’s take it for an example. My old CashCrate affiliate link was http://www.joefiro.com/links/cashcrate.php. And my new link is http://www.joefiro.com/cashcrate/. The link looks cleaner and more professional and it blends in well with the rest of the URL on my blog.

What do I do differently? Not much really. I created a sub-directory called cashcrate and copied the cashcrate.php into that directory and renamed it to index.php.

The reason why I said copied instead of moved is because I want to leave the old links intact. Google has probably indexed that links or perhaps some people have bookmarked them; not to mention my RSS reader still have my old links on it. I want the links to still be available when someone use the old links. So for now, I will leave the old php files alone in the links sub-directory.

What I am going to do is replaced the old affiliate links in my article with the new affiliate links.

And how do you create the php files? You should pay a visit to John Chow and get a copy of his e-book. It will teach you how to do it.

P.S. If you think your affiliate links might change (thanks to TLA), you can always modify your old php files to have it point to your new affiliate links so you don’t have to maintain 2 files for the same affiliate.

There are numerous websites out there that pay you money to sign up for offers. How do you know which ones are legit and which one are not? Well, a lot of times you can just google the particular website and perhaps add the word scam on it and you’ll get a pretty good idea.

Anyway, I just signed up with CashCrate.com. It’s FREE to join. I google it and found pretty positive review about it. The company is very strict about spamming. If you get caught spamming, your account will be terminated immediately. Will it make you rich? I highly doubt it. But $50 a month or $100 a month or even a few hundred dollars a month in extra income is definitely attainable. That will pay for domain and hosting and extra change for occasional snacks when I blog.

The best part I like about the program that it allows you to earn money on your referrals. The company pays 20% on your direct referral and 10% on their referrals. The minimum payout is $10. I am sure I’ll make that in a week.

Entering the members area, I saw about 200+ offers that pays anything from $0.50 – $45.00. Big reputable companies are on the list too. That adds credibility of course. Anyway, I will give it a try for a couple of months and see how much I’ll make.

Well .. not quite.

You can download the viewbar by logging into your account and click on the Download Viewbar button below your stats. If you have trouble logging into Agloco site, please be patient. I am sure million of other users are doing the exact same thing.

If you do not have an account, you can follow this link to sign up. I wrote a brief article about Agloco 2 weeks ago. See how much money you can make out of this. The more people you refer, the more you will make. The best part is you are earning it while surfing the internet the way you normally do and you do NOT need to buy anything and it does NOT cost you anything to sign up.

Anyway, I downloaded the viewbar a short while ago and proceeded with installing the viewbar on my computer. I ran the program and signed in with my account information. The viewbar is then docked at the bottom of the screen right above the task bar. You can dock it at the top of the screen if you choose.

Well … the viewbar itself is running fine. But there are no ads. Is the ad server down? Is the viewbar not ready for prime time?

Hang on … I just logged in to to my Agloco account and it shows that I am already earning 0.6 hours. Cool. I guess it’s working then. Awesome.

I know I’m late to the game … way late I might add. So for those of you who already know what it is or already signed up, then by all means sorry for the old news. But for those who don’t know what it is, it’s a second coming of AllAdvantage. Remember the advertising bar that you installed back in the dot-com era where the company paid you a share of their advertising $$$ in exchange for you to display their advertising bar on your computer.

Well, the business model wasn’t sustainable back then so it went belly up. Now the same people who created AllAdvantage are back and they have been getting a lot of headlines lately. They created AGLOCO (A GLObal COmmunity).

Anyway, AGLOCO comes up with a new business model by rewarding its user for using a similar viewbar while surfing the net (up to 5 hours initially). How will you get paid? They are paying you a share of the revenue dollar, rewarding you with shares of the company, rewarding you for anyone you refer, and anyone they refer up to 4 levels deep (network marketing at its best), and letting you share the commission for products purchased from their advertisers.

You can sign up here and be a part of the next internet revolution. And remember, it costs you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
