Let it be known I am an Obama supporter so this article might be bias to some, but it is NOT to me.
The road to nomination has been a well-fought battle between the two candidates. And I am all for Hillary staying in the race until the last primary in South Dakota. The battle has brought more and more new voters into the democratic process and that is a good thing. The downside of this battle is if the attacks become too negative, it will do irreparable harm to the eventual nominee who looks more likely to be Barack Obama.
It is CRYSTAL CLEAR she is not going to overtake Obama in pledge delegates no matter what kind of shady math she wants to use. She goes on and on about she has a lead in popular votes; although she has to carve it nicely by saying ‘She received more votes from voters who voted in the primary’. Does that include Florida where no candidates campaigned in that state? Does that count Michigan where Obama and the rest of the Democratic candidates weren’t even on the ballot? And the answer is YES. And how about the Caucus State like Iowa? How are you going to count the vote if it is even possible? That’s why the Pledge Delegates are used to determine the outcome.
And it looks likely that neither candidates will have enough majority Pledge Delegates to win the nomination, and that’s where the Super Delegates come in to break the tie. And Hillary is within her right to ask the Super Delegates to cast their vote for her. I just can’t imagine what will happen if the Super Delegates reverse the will of the voters and nominate Hillary at the convention.
But here is the story I want to get to. And I want to make it clear I am not a conspiracy-theorist but this one theory that is swirling around has gotten my attention simply because I believe she is capable of doing just that.
The conspiracy theory is as follows …
It’s clear Hillary will NOT win the nomination this year so she will do enough damage to Barack Obama that he will become unelectable in general election comes November. That will give her a chance to run again in 2012, whether it’s against McCain or someone else. If Obama becomes the President, and rightly so for the next two terms, Hillary will only get a chance to run for the White House in 2016, in which she will be 69; too old by most account to run for an office.
Closing Statement
Americans desperately need a PRESIDENT who will change the country and the world for the better. The last 7 or so years have been a nightmare. The US has stalled and the rest of the world are catching up. Americans need a PRESIDENT who will restore US to its rightful place, as the best nation in the world; the nation the rest of the world will look up to once again.
And comes November general election and January Inauguration Day, Barack Obama will be that PRESIDENT.
