Merry ChristmasI am just done wrapping the last gift for tomorrow’s Christmas Celebration. And the clock just turned midnight here in Jakarta so Merry Christmas to you all. I am very excited about celebrating Christmas with the children at Panti Asuhan Pondok Si Boncel. The look on those children’s face will be so precious. It’ll be be a moment most of us will treasure for a long time.

These past 2 days have been a little hectic to say the least. There were so many things to buy and considering I am not from Jakarta, I have to rely on local friends for a lot of guidance. I am happy to report that I achieved my goal of raising 50 millions Rupiah.

Things kinda fall into place from the moment I decided to organize the event. I met a friend, who has done these type of charities numerous times, by accident. She gave me a lot of ideas what I could do during the visit to the orphanage. She also helped me put together a fun activites for the children during our visit. Then a friend who I haven’t been in touch with for more than 15 years turned out to be my savior by taking me shopping for everything we need to donate to the orphanage including gift bags, toys, household items, clothes, foods, etc. She is fabulous. And her younger sister; whose conversation with me 2 weeks ago led me to organize this event, raised about 40% of the total donation all by herself.

And get this, all three girls have similar name. The first girl is Juliana, who is also known as Julie. The second girl is Juli. And the third girl is Juliana. I am serious. You can’t make this stuff up.

I am just the person with the idea but all credits should go to all these girls and everyone who have been helping out in putting this event together including all the gracious and generous donors whose donations make this event from a possibility to an absolute certainty.

Merry Christmas to all of you.
