This is the 2nd article of our January 19th, 2008 Charity Event. You can read the first article on The Drive-N-Drop event.
With the traffic fiasco during our trip to Ancol, I did not get to visit the neighborhood where the “pemulung” live. I had to rely on my friends story to write this brief article. There was a contact within the community that helps organizing the drop-off. We pledged 70 packages to them so he had to find 70 families to receive our donations based on their needs.
Since there were only 2 cars there instead of 3, there weren’t enough packages for everyone. The final count was 69. That was just so plain cruel. One family will have to be disappointed. In the end, a friend of mine gave the family money from his own pocket.
Thanks to the team out there. You did an awesome job.
